I'm an award-winning animator and director based in Cardiff, South Wales. I direct and produce animation through my animation studio and production company Picl Animation.
My animated short films have been screened at festivals around the world, and my 2019 Ffilm Cymru- and BFI Net.work-funded short Creepy Pasta Salad was shortlisted for the 2020 Best Short Animation BAFTA.
I am Festival Director of Cardiff Animation Festival, a biennial four-day celebration of animation for everyone, held at Chapter, Cardiff's arts hub. I have been running events since 2014 when I founded Cardiff Animation Nights, popular bi-monthly screenings of award-winning independent animated films from around in Cardiff City Centre.
I specialise in 2D digital and mixed media animation. I make animation for broadcast, documentaries, theatre and live performance, and animated short films, music videos, corporate videos and charity campaigns. I have worked with clients and collaborators including Channel 4, ITN, BBC3, S4C, Twt Productions, Boom Cymru, Wales Millennium Centre, National Theatre, Charlotte Church, Joanna Quinn, Be Aware Productions, The Globe Theatre and Arts Council Wales.
I am also an experienced workshop leader, with 14 years' experience facilitating creative workshops for young people.
I have lived in Cardiff since 2010, and have a degree in Animation from the University of Wales, Newport.
